How your mind-set is essential to your weight




If you've got problems with your weight and you've struggled for years without ever seeing a permanent result to your problem then you need to change direction now. It is highly likely that you are being held back by your mind-set so lets briefly consider what this means.

First up, lets have a look at the self-management sequence. This sequence pretty much drives all of your actions and everything that you do. Here is the sequence in brief:

Your actions are determined by your feelings, which are determined by your attitudes, which are determined by your beliefs, which are determined and created from your programming.


What this means is that your programming, or subconscious, is going to determine exactly what you do on a day to day basis by running through the self management sequence. This programming is essentially the foundation and if you want to perform the right actions to achieve a result then you need to make sure that your subconscious 'wiring' is supporting, not sabotaging your efforts.

So, how exactly does this link to your current weight?

Well, if you fail to get your foundation right - the right programming and mind-set - then your actions at the end of the sequence will never be right either. They might be right for a while, and this is why you can stick with a diet for a bit, but they will never last long. This will invariably hold you back from achieving your weight loss goals.

If you have tried diets in the past and managed to lose weight, only to see it return soon after when you return to 'default setting' you can bet your bottom dollar that you not only have the 'wrong' mind-set, but that you are actually accerbating the problem by programming your subconscious to believe that diets don't work for you. You may see short term success, but the inevitable rebound weight gain will happen if your mind-set isn't right.

Most people look at nutrition, and often exercise, but nothing else. While these are obviously crucial, you need to start at the beginning with your programming if you want that long term result. If you don't, your actions will never be consistent enough to help you make the right decisions about diet and exercise to help you lose weight and then keep it off.

So before you even think about looking for another diet, make sure you first focus on developing that foundation piece that is so important - a positive weight loss mind-set. If you don't then you will likely struggle to lose weight good for the rest of your life.
