The 3 Pillars of Permanent weight loss



In the fight for long term weight loss the majority of dieters fail, and fail miserably. The simple reason for this is because they fail to put into place the 3 most important pillars for permanent weight loss.

Now, I'd probably say that 99.99% of people understand the importance of the first pillar - nutrition. A huge percentage will also look at pillar 2 - exercise - as being a crucial component of their weight loss plan. But what about pillar number 3? This pillar is the most important and the one that you need to get right from the start. However, its also the one that people neglect. What is it? Mind-Set...

Let's not go ahead and look at these 3 pillars in turn.



Pillar 1 - Nutrition

Without proper nutrition you'll never see a long term weight loss result. It really is that simple. It isn't qute as simple, however, as a calorie in vs a calorie out, despite what you might have heard in the past. Proper weight loss nutrition involves two crucial things - health and sustainability. If you are always searching for a magic pill then you simply will not see success for long. A healthy diet will lead to a healthy internal system and its not possible to have long term success with any weight loss plan unless your internal system is healthy.

Pillar 2 - Exercise

Now, you can see great weight loss results without exercise in the short term, but perhaps not in the long term. Exercise provides all sorts of benefits, not least in helping to develop that healthy system that I just mentioned. More than this, exercise helps with all sorts of things like hormone control and manipulation as well as metabolism. These are crucial elements to understand for long term weight loss.

Pillar 3 - Mind-Set

In reality, the two above pillars will crumble and fall to the ground eventually unless this third pillar is in place. Why? Well, simply because unless you have the right subconscious mind-set, you'll never stick with the right nutrition or exercise plan for long. Now, when I say mind-set, I'm not simply talking about what you think consciously about weight loss, but how you are subconsciously programmed. This is what will determine the direction you life takes.

The unfortunate thing is that not many people focus on mind-set with regards to weight loss. They just don't understand that this is the crucial, driving factor that will eventually determine whether or not you can actually keep the weight off for good.

There's no doubt that each pillar is essential in the long run. Imagine a 3 legged chair. Take one leg away and what happens? The chair falls over. The same is true with your weight. Start with your mind-set and then set the other pillars in place. Do so and you'll lose weight quickly, easily, and never see it return.
